Dr. Liljenquist traveled to Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake. He was able to treat many orthopaedic problems for the people in the city of Leogane. Leongane is about 20 miles from Port au Prince and was at the epicenter of the earthquake. 90% of the buildings in Leogone were destroyed. He treated many people at a make-shift othopaedic clinic set up outside of a "tent" hospital, but was also able to get out into the countryside in order to reach the people unable to travel to the clinic. He helped many of the earthquake survivors and enjoyed the time he was able to dedicate to the Haitian people when they were in such great need.
